KALE worm drive hose clamp is a multi-use clamp and also it can be used in different hose diameters. This feature is supported by the clamp’s quite thin and bendable bands.
In WD hose clamp models, Radial forces are especially equally distributed and provide maximum impermeability in hoses under strong pressures.
With the WD9 and WD12 series hose clamp models, DIN 3017 norm requirements are met easily. All KALE WD series hose clamp models have the feature of working with low idle run torque, that is, can easily be screwed. This has a very high impact degree and the force applied to the screw is transferred to hose directly via band with maximum friction loss. With just a little torque, provides impermeability between hose and coupling.
Optimal Squeezing when Mounting - Torque
Spiral teeth clamp optimal torque rate is based on basically the hose diameter and material as well as the pressure in the system.
Resultant of the tests carried out on WD9 series KALE hose clamps, recommended torque for hoses with diameters less than 25mm is 2.5 Nm, for hoses with larger diameters; 3.0 Nm.
Hose or join can be damaged in case high torque is applied.
Especially hoses with thick wall, it is recommended using WD12 series hose clamps. |
